To coincide with National Biomechanics Day on 10 April 2019 – a worldwide celebration of all things Biomechanics, The University of Huddersfield hosted a very successful Biomechanics Interest Group event themed ‘Applied Biomechanics – the application to real life’. The ever popular event had over 120 registered delegates from across the country and saw a range of stimulating and informative talks from students, lecturers and Professors.
On behalf of our partner Liverpool John Moores University, Bill Baltzopoulos presented the keynote examining the latest technology he and his team are employing, studying ‘Biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system in-vivo and implications for muscle and joint forces in different applied conditions’. The presentation focused on the work of our group on musculoskeletal biomechanics, including an update of the progress of the musculoskeletal modelling tools in the OACTIVE project.
